I am an artist, educator, event organiser, facilitator and curator. My practice is diverse and multidisciplinary. I love engaging in conversations, exchanging ideas, sharing stories and perspectives, stumbling upon shared knowledge and creating new knowledges together. Over time I have developed a research based practice that is grounded in working with and learning from people.
My work is largely socially responsive - I respond to what is happening in the world through my art based research projects - and I involve others in the process of thinking together as well as making/creating together.

I work collaboratively most of the time, through research projects in the form of workshops, discussions and publications. These projects are exhibited as interactive and engaging installations for audiences to experience and further contribute towards. In this way, the research is continuously expanding and ongoing.
I also draw, paint, make collages and overall experiment with ideas visually. I have also created digital art projects in the form of a website (venturing into Net Art) and curating an experimental digital art residency on Instagram (The Mobile Arts Residency), all during lockdown.
My work is an attempt at looking at the familiar from new perspectives, which results in uncovering the unfamiliar within the familiar. This paradox or dichotomy is exciting for me to explore and discover. I work with themes such as gender, feminism, technology, food, history, future world building to name a few. Through these lenses I am especially interested in understanding social inclusion and exclusion, as well as addressing socio-cultural norms. Tackling such everyday themes also allows me to initiate cultural conversations through my work, which is positioned within the Indian context but draws from and applies to global conditions and understandings.
I completed my M.A. in Curatorial Practices from Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology (awaiting results) and my B.A. Fine Art (XD Pathway) from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London. While at university in London I was awarded an Artist Exchange and Residency Programme at The Academy of Applied Arts and The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts, Rijeka, Croatia. I was also part of the Social Arts Research Residency at Peckham Platform, London. My work was exhibited at Tate Exchange Studio Complex, Tate Modern, London. In Bangalore, I have engaged in public art projects with ArtInTransit and the Srishti Institute, for Social Research and Arts Project - Visualising Change, in partnership with BBMP.
Recently I was awarded an art grant by Goethe Institut Bangalore for the Gender Bender Festival (2019). I was also an Artist-in-Residence at Pollinator Studio's virtual art residency, Virtual Nursery (2021-21). My work was also exhibited at the Students' Biennale 4th Edition, parallel to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2020-21.
I currently live and work in Bangalore, India.
